A Plain Girl’s Happy Life

About this drama

Orphaned as a child, Zhou Jin was abused by her aunt’s family and nearly sold into trafficking. She escaped, changed her name to Zhou Fuxuan, and fled her hellish past. Then she met Pei Yanche—a cold, ruthless CEO. One night led to an unexpected pregnancy. He ordered her to abort, threatening to destroy her if she kept the child. She was about to run away when news came: Pei Yanche had died in a plane crash. She saw her chance. Pregnant and alone, she showed up at the Pei family mansion, claiming to be his secret lover carrying his heir. They let her stay. She raised her son, Zhouzhou, in luxury for six years—living as the wealthy widow of the Pei estate. Then Pei Yanche came back. Alive. With no memory of her. Her perfect life shattered. To keep her son’s future secure, she had to act. In public, she played the devoted, grieving lover. In private, she ranted and schemed to hold her ground. His rescuer, Miao An’an, returned with him, hungry for the position of lady of the house. Zhou Fuxuan outwitted her every time. Her abusive relatives tracked her down, demanding money and threatening to expose her. Pei’s mother tolerated her for the child’s sake but never stopped looking down on her. Caught between lies and growing feelings, Pei Yanche slowly let go of suspicion and fell for her. The truth of their first encounter emerged: his childhood sweetheart had drugged him, setting a trap. Zhou Fuxuan was just an accidental victim. For years, that woman had planted cameras around the Pei mansion, waiting to destroy her. Facing scheming rivals, greedy relatives, and the risk of Pei Yanche regaining his memory, Zhou Fuxuan dropped her mask. She bared her painful past and her real self. He believed her. His mother accepted her. All the villains fell. The orphan girl became the true lady of the house. With Pei Yanche and their son Zhouzhou by her side, she finally had the happy life she had fought for—no more lies, no more fear, just love and family.
