Beast Taming Era: I Forged a Contract with Ghost King Zhong Kui

About this drama

Ye Huang, a top agent from the Ghost Taming Era, is betrayed and murdered by her most trusted friend. Carrying her life-bound treasure, the Ghost Pagoda, her soul transmigrates to the Nine Provinces Continent—a world centered on spirit beast summoners. There, she awakens in the body of Feng Zhaoxue, the disgraced legitimate daughter of the Guardian Marquis Manor. Born with no spiritual power, the original Feng Zhaoxue endured years of cruelty from her half-sister Feng Qingyu, stepmother Madam Liu, and her biased father Feng Xiaotian. Her mother Su Wanqing, a former grand imperial preceptor, vanished seven years ago after being sent to investigate the Endless Forest. Before leaving, she left cubs of the Four Divine Beasts—Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tortoise—to guard her daughter. Yet the four beasts had long been bribed by Feng Qingyu and tormented Feng Zhaoxue relentlessly. When Feng Qingyu snatches the silver bracelet left by Su Wanqing and crushes the last flicker of the original owner’s weak spiritual power in public, the bracelet surges with hidden power at this desperate moment. The Ghost Pagoda from Ye Huang’s past life manifests, summoning hordes of ghosts to drive back all onlookers.
