Boss, Let’s Break Off the Engagement!

About this drama

After transmigrating into a novel as the doomed villainess Shen Nuo, she finds herself at the lowest point of her character’s downfall. To survive, she fakes amnesia. Realizing her precarious situation, she drowns her sorrows at a bar, where her friends convince her to ""rent"" a handsome male model. Confidently, she approaches the man, offering to ""keep"" him—only to be coldly rejected. Just as she considers chasing after him, her estranged older brother, Shen Huai, orders her home. Determined to avoid her original fate, Shen Nuo sheds her rebellious persona, acting obediently. Intrigued by her sudden change, Shen Huai begins to soften—until he drops a bombshell: to settle her past debts, she must marry the novel’s ruthless antagonist, Fu Chuji. Desperate to escape the arranged marriage, Shen Nuo spots the same ""male model"" from the bar entangled with another woman. Seizing the chance to sabotage the engagement, she boldly offers him a contract as her kept man. Unbeknownst to her, the man is none other than Fu Chuji himself. At their engagement party, Shen Nuo brings ""her male model"" to humiliate Fu Chuji and call off the wedding. But when Fu Chuji probes her motives, she declares, ""I’m in love with him. I’d rather cancel this marriage than lose him."" Amused by her audacity, Fu Chuji plays along, hiding his true identity to unravel her secrets. Yet as their fake relationship deepens, his curiosity turns into genuine affection. What began as a scheme to expose her becomes a game where both hearts are at stake—and Fu Chuji is no longer sure he wants to win.
