Cast Aside by the Emperor, Crowned by the Martial World

About this drama

As the Great Chu Dynasty crumbled, Princess Chu Sui’an donned armor and led troops to repel foreign invaders. Single-handedly, she saved the realm and became the nation’s revered war goddess. But when Emperor Chu Mingye took the throne, he grew jealous of her power and fame. To appease the northern barbarians, he ordered her to marry far away. In the Golden Palace, Chu Sui’an refused. She argued that Great Chu was strong enough — it didn’t need to trade a woman for peace. Prime Minister Xie Jin stepped up to support her, but the emperor saw them as conspirators. Furious, the emperor gave her two choices: marry or be stripped of her title. Chu Sui’an chose pride. She removed her royal seal and walked away from the palace. On her journey, the emperor sent assassins to kill her. Trapped at a lonely station at night, surrounded and poisoned, she faced death — until a masked figure in a wintersweet mask appeared to save her. During the fight, his mask slipped. Chu Sui’an saw a mole behind his ear and recognized him as the man who saved her years ago on the northern border. But Xie Jin refused to reveal himself and slipped away. To uncover her true origins, Chu Sui’an went to the black market to find her mentor, Mo Lao. She learned a shocking secret: she was no orphan. Her mother was Su Qinghan, leader of the Cloud Hidden Pavilion, the most powerful sect in the martial world. Chu Sui’an was its rightful heir, with the Startling Swan Sword and a jade pendant as proof.
