Exposed! My Father‑in‑Law Is a Thousand‑Year‑Old Immortal

About this drama

Three thousand years ago, Fang Yu, a cultivator from Mount Shu, attained the status of a Great Luo Immortal after a thousand‑year practice. He could have ascended to the Immortal Realm for eternal life. Yet he foresaw that dark foreign gods would invade China a thousand years later and bring massive casualties. He resolutely gave up his immortal rank, sealed his memories and divine power, and stayed among mortals to guard humanity, living as an ordinary old man. A thousand years later, amnesiac Fang Yu drifts among common folks. His adopted son Fang Dazhuang and daughter‑in‑law Tian Xiaofeng are greedy and cruel. They abuse him constantly, beating and berating him, forcing him to collect garbage in the rain to make a living. Starving and freezing, Fang Yu even picks chicken bones from the rain for food, with his dignity completely trampled on. Worse still, to seize property and swindle funeral gifts, Tian Xiaofeng abandons Fang Yu hundreds of miles away, lies that he has passed away, and holds a fake lavish funeral for money. She also colludes with the village doctor to forge a terminal‑illness certificate and publicly slander Fang Yu’s character. Desperate for a bag of steamed buns and longing to return to his granddaughter Fang Tiantian — the only one who truly cares for him, Fang Yu goes to Eternal Life Group for a bone‑age test. He casually remarks “I am one thousand years old”, drawing mocking laughter from everyone. To everyone’s shock, the machine registers his real bone age as one thousand. Divine radiance bursts forth, and his immortal power begins to awaken.
