Freshman Year, I’m the Ultimate Demon Exorcist

About this drama

Lu Zhan crossed into a modern world overrun by demons, where the Demon Exorcism Bureau keeps the peace. The original body he inherited had been bullied to death. Right as he woke up, his slaughter system activated: kill enemies to earn points, exchange them for power, skills, and talents. He used it instantly. He killed Li Zhu and Zhang Tie, who had robbed him, and accepted the main quest—pass the Bureau’s exam in three days. During the exam, he was only at the 4th Layer of Qi Condensation. He killed beasts far above his level. He one-shotted a Diamond Python whose body rivaled the Opening Orifice Realm. He ranked first by a landslide and became a trainee exorcist. His first case: a serial disappearance in Anxi Residential Compound, with skeletons left behind. He teamed up with Tao Xiao’an and Zhou Hong, ventured deep into danger, beheaded the Rat King, and found the bones of fellow exorcists—hinting at traitors inside the Bureau colluding with the Five Poisons Cult. He cut through the cult’s Black Snake warriors, the Five Camel-Bell Fiends, and the mole Chen Lin. With poison immunity and ever-growing combat skills, he crushed every ambush. Following the trail of smuggled monster materials, he found the Black Water Hall—the Abyss Society’s core hideout in Linhai City. He killed its poison steward Mo Lin and seized evidence against high-ranking corrupt officials. The deeper he dug, the darker it got. Deputy Director Zhao Yue of Linhai Bureau was the Abyss Society’s top spy. And behind it all was Lord Xuan’s thousand-year scheme: the Demon Suppression Canon contained the primal essence of the ancient Demon Emperor, and every demon suppressor was a vessel for its reincarnation. Deep under Blackstone Mountain, Lu Zhan faced the Demon Emperor’s true form. He bet everything. He twisted the binding contract rules and turned his own body into a prison—sealing the Demon Emperor’s power forever. The thousand-year conspiracy ended. The city was safe. A freshman college student had become the world’s strongest exorcist.
