From National Youth Team Temp to the Summit of Football

About this drama

Retired footballer Zhao Gang co-founds the Longwan Football Team with his uncle Zhao Dalong — Zhao Gang handles coaching and management, while Zhao Dalong provides funding. But Zhao Dalong, driven solely by profit with no moral bottom line, enrolls several rich-kid trainees who cannot even pass the basic fitness test. When Zhao Gang firmly opposes this, Zhao Dalong turns on him instantly, denying their partnership and claiming Zhao Gang is nothing but a hired employee. He throws Zhao Gang a mere 20,000 yuan and kicks him out. Determined to build his own team, Zhao Gang struggles with a lack of funds and cannot even afford a training pitch. Then Zhong Xiaoli, a wealthy heiress who has long admired Zhao Gang’s coaching philosophy, steps in with an abandoned factory warehouse as a venue. The two renovate it into a professional training base and name their side Chuxin (Original Aspiration) Football Team. Zhao Gang sticks to principles of professional training, player safety and fair pricing: all equipment is brand new, his training system is science-based and standardized, yet fees match those at Longwan.
