From Villainess to Victorious

About this drama

Jiang Siheng was destined to be the vicious cannon fodder of this world—a wealthy heiress whose arrogance and cruelty existed solely to prop up the male lead’s growth. But when she awakens to the truth—that her role is to die miserably for the sake of the protagonists’ happy ending—she vows to defy her scripted fate. Her first act of rebellion? Using her infatuated bodyguard, Xie Yanxing, to break off her engagement to the tyrannical heir Duan Yichen. She plots to seduce Xie Yanxing, hoping the scandal will force Duan to cancel the wedding. But the plot’s control is absolute: she collapses unconscious before anything happens, and the engagement proceeds. On the day of the ceremony, Jiang Siheng refuses to attend—until she learns Duan is publicly humiliating her while Xie Yanxing defends her honor. Rushing to the scene, she arrives just as Xie, beaten bloody by Duan, still refuses to yield. Enraged, Jiang Siheng storms in, thrashes Duan herself, and with her grandfather’s backing, shreds the engagement contract to pieces. But her troubles aren’t over. With her grandfather ill and the family empire crumbling, Xie Yanxing stands unwaveringly by her side. Slowly, Jiang Siheng falls for him—only to discover his shocking secret: Xie Yanxing is the lost heir of the Xie conglomerate. Eight years ago, Jiang Siheng saved a dying boy on the streets. That boy was Xie Yanxing. After being reunited with his family five years later, he chose to return to her side as a bodyguard, hiding his identity to protect the woman who’d once saved him. When the truth comes out, Xie Yanxing kneels before her, confessing: ""I’ve loved you since the day you pulled me from the darkness."" Together, they dismantle their enemies, rewrite the novel’s tragic ending, and forge a destiny where the villainess gets her happily ever after.
