General, This Mermaid Is Not for Sale

About this drama

Season 1 Synopsis Lyra, the last living mermaid of Nereis, is displayed in a crystal tank and auctioned to the highest bidder. Just before the royal prince can claim her, Major General Kane Val shocks the empire by paying one hundred billion—and declaring the dangerous captive his fiancée. Lyra has no intention of becoming anyone’s property. But when Kane collapses, she discovers a piece of her own heart-scale buried inside his chest—the same scale she used to save a drowning boy nineteen years ago. To keep him alive, she must kiss the man she may have every reason to hate, unlocking fragments of memories someone erased. Their uneasy alliance becomes even more dangerous when Lyra learns that her stolen voice is being used by a false princess, while Kane is exposed as the infamous “mermaid hunter” connected to the destruction of Nereis. Together, they infiltrate the secret Abyss Laboratory and uncover an empire built on imprisoned mermaids, stolen scales, and human experimentation. As the facility begins to self-destruct, Lyra must choose between chasing the enemy who holds her mother’s heart-scale—or saving the people who are still alive. She chooses her people. But their escape is only the beginning. In three days, the empire will hold a royal engagement designed to steal Nereis forever. This time, Lyra is not returning as a captive. She is returning for war.
