Fu Hui (the female lead) accidentally overhears a conversation between her husband Zhou Jun and his mother, discovering that his family plans to seize her assets and drive her away. Instead of confronting them, Fu Hui pretends everything is normal and agrees to every demand Zhou Jun makes—all while setting traps behind the scenes. When Zhou Jun asks Fu Hui to transfer her company to his lover (also his brother’s wife) Du Jing under the pretext of his brother’s marriage, Fu Hui complies. Zhou Jun then reveals his true intentions and files for divorce, which Fu Hui also accepts, even gifting him a large business order—leaving his family baffled. Soon, Fu Hui’s first wave of revenge unfolds: due to the divorce agreement stating that pre-marital debts fall on the husband, the costly wedding expenses land squarely on Zhou Jun, forcing him to pay a heavy price. Later, Fu Hui schemes to have Zhou Jun, his brother Zhou Jie, and Du Jing all share a hotel room, where they are seen by multiple people in an embarrassing situation. Finally, the company Zhou Jun took from Fu Hui becomes her last trap: through Fu Hui’s manipulations, his family is burdened with huge penalty fees, and Zhou Jun—exposed for betraying his brother—is violently dealt with by an enraged Zhou Jie. Thus, everything is settled.
