My Contracted Beast Is a Rock

About this drama

Ling Mo came from an ordinary family. At the Beast Contract Awakening Ceremony, he accidentally bonded with a rock—no energy, no potential. The system rated it worthless. The whole city laughed at him. His classmates mocked him. The elders expelled him from the base. He was cast out to die in the ruins. On the brink of death, he unlocked the Inanimate Beast Master System. That useless rock was actually a divine beast in disguise. With the power of mental control, skill theft, and evolution, Ling Mo fought to survive in monster-infested Jiangcheng. He killed Black-Fang Rabbits, Iron-Spined Wolves, and Armored Lizards, stealing their strength and growing stronger. He recruited outcasts, built his own faction, and wiped out the scar-faced gang. He became the overlord of the ruins. His old enemy Chen Xuan and the powerful Chen Clan came for him. Ling Mo crushed them all—using his rock’s evolved nine elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Metal, Wood, Thunder, Light, and Darkness. He killed Chen Xuan, crippled Chen Ba, and brought down the entire Chen family. As his power grew, he uncovered a hidden truth. Three hundred years ago, humanity faced extinction. They sealed a cosmic beast called Qiongtian using shards of the Falling Ink Star and a guardian beast named Kunlun. Ling Mo and his rock were the only ones who could stop the seal from breaking. The rock evolved. It grew a heartbeat. It gained consciousness. It learned to speak. It became a king-tier beast, bound to Ling Mo by life and death. In the end, Ling Mo let go of his personal grudges. He stood with his stone companion against the awakening Qiongtian—a mortal body with the heart of a true guardian, fighting to protect the world and everyone he loved.
