Promotion Mix-Up

About this drama

Qiu Kai was just an ordinary employee, but unexpectedly he got his hands on a "system that grants you billions if you're fired." As a result, he started to clean up the workplace in a crazy way: confronting his boss, cursing out the higher-ups, and desperately seeking to get fired. To his surprise, by accidentally deleting core codes, he actually prevented the company from being hacked. His outbursts against his boss ended up releasing the pent-up frustrations of the workers, and while trying to slack off, he inadvertently helped implement a layoff plan. Even when he deliberately served his superiors poorly during meals, he was praised for his authenticity, earning the admiration of the leadership. Throughout this process, the company’s female CEO, Shen Qingqiu, witnessed Qiu Kaiben’s ability to turn the mundane into the extraordinary. Disguised and investigating incognito, she tested him repeatedly. However, due to a series of coincidences, she came to believe that Qiu Kaiben was an extraordinary talent, leading her to continuously promote him. At the same time, the scheming vice president also took a keen interest in Qiu Kaiben. After noticing his repeated achievements, he sought to win him over by pretending to take credit for Shen Qingqiu’s accomplishments in hopes of bringing Qiu into his camp. However, Qiu Kaiben saw this as an act of sabotage, believing it was the reason he couldn’t get fired. In a fit of rage, he ended up beating up the vice president. Thinking that this would finally get him fired, Qiu Kaiben was caught off guard when the CEO witnessed the altercation. Since she had always been dissatisfied with the vice president, she actually appreciated Qiu's boldness and even developed a soft spot for him. So, while Qiu Kaiben intended to get fired, he instead found himself climbing the corporate ladder, receiving promotions and raises, and gradually becoming part of the upper management. Just when Qiu Kaiben was feeling hopeless, a power struggle broke out within the company. The major shareholder turned against the company, took control, and ordered Qiu Kaiben's dismissal, vowing to blacklist him entirely. Little did they know, this played right into Qiu Kaiben’s hands. After completing the system's tasks, he transformed into a billionaire, striking back at the villains and winning the heart of the beautiful CEO.
