Rebirth of the Tycoon

About this drama

The story follows Liam Hart, a once-wealthy business prodigy who gets a second chance at life—and revenge. In his past life, Liam built a billion-dollar empire, only to die in a sudden car accident. As he lay dying in the hospital, he discovered his wife, Grace, and his childhood best friend, Lucas Liu, had betrayed him—stealing his fortune and driving his parents to their deaths. Consumed by rage and regret, Liam miraculously wakes up in 2008, back at the moment when Emily and Lucas were manipulating him. This time, Liam sees through their schemes. Remembering how his pride cost him a chance with Sophia Shen, he decides to marry into her powerful family. On their wedding day, Emily’s family mistakenly believes she is the bride—until Liam publicly exposes her affair with Lucas, humiliating them both. The scandal ruins Emily’s reputation, destroys her family’s standing, and gets her father, Gradin, fired. Armed with knowledge of the future, Liam prevents a deadly explosion at the Shen family’s coal mine—despite skepticism from Sophia’s father, Samuel Shen, and her scheming brother, Ethan Shen. Meanwhile, Lucas’s own family suffers massive losses when his sabotage plan backfires. Liam then revives the Shens’ failing music company, firing the corrupt executive Derek Zhang and winning over reluctant artists like Kiki and Daniel Qian by composing instant hits. His bold moves turn the company into an industry sensation, while he also rises to fame as a bestselling novelist. But Lucas and Ethan won’t let him succeed. They plot against him repeatedly—even attempting murder—yet Liam outsmarts them at every turn. Fifteen years later, he retires at the peak of his career, enjoying a quiet life with Sophia and their children. As for Emily and Lucas? They end up as broken beggars on the streets—paying the price for their treachery at last.
