About this drama

Twenty years ago, Antilos, last heir of the War God, slew the Black-Winged Dragon and became Supreme King of the North. As it died, the dragon cursed his newborn daughter, Alkipe. To protect her, Antilos abandoned the crown, hid in the Temple of War for twenty years, and raised her as a servant. Betrothed to Darius of Macedonia, Alkipe was tormented, humiliated at her wedding, lost her child, and leapt from a tower. Holding her bloody body, Antilos took up his sword. When kings knelt, all learned the man they had trampled was the King of the North. He crippled Darius and punished the Macedonian family. To cure Alkipe's erupting dragon curse, Antilos sought Avila, the Moon Maiden, who resembled his late wife. Betrayal and dark ritual followed; Alkipe sacrificed herself, but War and Moon reunited mother and daughter. Antilos reclaimed his crown and decreed royal lawbreakers face commoner judgment.
