Soaring Skyward

About this drama

Zhang Lei and Chen Li had been married for seven years. They once weathered tough times together, building a stable life through joint hard work. As time went on, however, their life philosophies drifted further apart. On Chen Li’s birthday, a bitter argument broke out over their different life goals. They eventually agreed to a peaceful divorce, each starting a new chapter in life. After the split, Zhang Lei poured more energy into his career. Thanks to his consistent diligence and sense of responsibility over the years, his professional skills earned recognition from the company, and he was promoted to Technical Department Supervisor, marking a new leap in his career. Through an introduction from his manager, Zhang Lei met Lin Rou, a gentle, independent woman with sound values. Lin Rou admired his steady and reliable character, and the two slowly developed feelings for each other, nurturing a sincere romance. In the meantime, Chen Li went through a series of hardships. She made wrong choices and paid a heavy price: her savings were wiped out, and she fell into financial trouble. One rainy night, her son came down with a sudden high fever. Desperate, Chen Li reached out to Zhang Lei for help. As the boy’s father, Zhang Lei did not hesitate to lend a hand and rushed their son to the hospital, fulfilling his duty as a father.
