Sweet Reunion After Endless Suffering

About this drama

This is the story of a mother scarred by fate — a woman who shows what it truly means to be strong. After betrayal and redemption, she finally finds her way back to her family. Chen Wei is a poor woman with a large birthmark on her left cheek. Eighteen years ago, during a construction site accident, she was forced to make an impossible choice between her two children. She saved her son, Chen Heng, believing her daughter Xiaofang had died. Ever since, her love has been tangled with endless guilt. She scraps by collecting trash and doing odd jobs. She gives her youth and all her energy to raise Chen Heng. She lives frugally to pay for his education. She even sells her only house to pay for his wedding. But all her devotion earns her nothing but betrayal and humiliation. Chen Heng wants to climb into high society. He woos a rich girl named Lili. To impress her, he denies that Chen Wei is his mother — he lies and says she's just the housekeeper. He stands by coldly while Lili and her mother degrade Chen Wei again and again. They force her to kneel. They make her sleep in a storage room. They threaten her with broken glass. Chen Wei endures not just poverty — but the cruelest mental torture from her own son. Meanwhile, fate brings a turning point. Xiaofang survived the accident. She was adopted and renamed Liu Yue. Through hard work, she becomes the CEO of the Liu Group. She has never forgotten her birth mother. She keeps a childhood amulet as the only clue to find her.
