The Heiress And Her Demon

About this drama

Arlant's true heiress, Yili, had been switched at birth and spent years enduring humiliation at the hands of the impostor, Yiwei, and her opportunistic fiancé. When pushed to the brink, Yili activated a morally ambiguous system where punishing wrongdoers rewarded her with wealth, but showing mercy cost her heavily. At a grand banquet, Yili gambled everything she had, recklessly overspending her gold coins to summon Morpheus, an ancient dragon sealed away for a millennium. She personally reshaped his cold, weapon-like persona into that of a fiercely devoted and comically possessive protector, who followed her with dog-like loyalty. On her journey, Yili rescued the gentle steward Oer, befriended the mischievous Sprite, and persuaded the inflexible celestial enforcer Yunqiu to join her cause through clever strategy and determination, forming a formidable team of four stewards. Together, they uncovered the conspiracy of the Grand Priest and Yiwei, who had swapped bloodlines to seize power, and challenged the inequities of the celestial realm, where divine authority often led to unfairness. As the truth of her destiny unraveled, Yili discovered she was the Primordial Goddess of Wealth, with Morpheus as her fated guardian. Using her wealth strategies and Morpheus's demonic strength, she crushed her enemies, quelled the chaos across the three realms of existence—the mortal world, the heavens, and the underworld—and rose to power as the destined Empress, claiming her rightful place on the throne. Ruling with calculated ruthlessness to vanquish corruption and protect her people, Yili enjoyed a life of opulence and affection, surrounded by four stewards who were utterly devoted, willing to sacrifice everything for her. Her journey marked the beginning of a carefree, powerful life, where she held both boundless riches and unrivaled devotion in the palm of her hand.
