The Playboy's Contractual Wife

About this drama

"After the death of Serena's mother, her father and his mistress took control of the company. Having spent years abroad, Serena decides to return to reclaim her mother and grandfather’s lifelong efforts. However, with shares difficult to obtain, she strikes a deal with the Jin family patriarch, Henry: she will marry Leon, the future heir of the Jin Group, on the condition that she helps transform the notorious playboy into a capable leader worthy of inheriting the family business. In exchange, Henry promises Serena 50% of L Group’s shares. Leon, H City’s most infamous troublemaker, meets his match in Serena, who counters his antics at every turn. She even helps him reclaim his late parents’ belongings from his scheming relatives—only to nearly die in a staged car accident. Fortunately, Serena’s sharp instincts save Leon just in time, earning his growing admiration. When Serena discovers her mother is actually alive, the two return home, only for a mishap involving drugged wine (courtesy of her stepsister) to finally make them husband and wife in truth—sparking newfound intimacy. With Leon’s help, Serena rescues her mother, but to secure the company, she needs Leon to take charge of his family’s business. Haunted by his parents’ deaths in a power struggle, Leon refuses, leading to a bitter separation. Just as Serena is on the verge of surrender, Leon has a change of heart and returns to turn the tide. Her treacherous father and his mistress face justice, while Leon’s conniving uncle and aunt are punished by Henry. With villains finally defeated, Serena chooses to stay in H City, ready to build a future with Leon—one they’ll shape together."
