The Scorned Wife Was a Billionaire Heiress All Along!

About this drama

Lin Yuqing, the youngest daughter of the prestigious Lin Group, grew up doted on by her wealthy family. As an adult, she fell in love with Chen Shuo, a poor but ambitious young man. For his sake, she gave up her career and even hid her true identity as an heiress to protect his pride, choosing instead to support him in building his own business. For a while, Lin Yuqing believed they would have a happy future together—until Chen Shuo’s mother, Zhou Xiuying, and younger sister arrived in the city. Everything changed. The day before Mother’s Day, Lin Yuqing’s family finally accepted Chen Shuo and decided to invest in his company. But instead of gratitude, Chen Shuo grew even more disdainful of her. That night, Zhou Xiuying—furious that Lin Yuqing hadn’t sent her a holiday red envelope on time—poured a bucket of cold water over Lin Yuqing while she slept, then viciously humiliated her. Chen Shuo, who already looked down on Lin Yuqing, saw this as "disrespect" to his mother and immediately threw her out of the house. Homeless and betrayed, Lin Yuqing finally saw Chen Shuo for the spineless, filial-obsessed hypocrite he was. She borrowed a neighbor’s phone and called the police. When the officers arrived, the Chen family instantly put on a pitiful act, but Lin Yuqing revealed she had surveillance footage as evidence. As she entered the house to retrieve it, Chen Shuo followed, trying to stop her. When she refused to back down, he grabbed her by the throat—only to be stopped when the police, sensing something was wrong, returned just in time. At the station, Zhou Xiuying threw a tantrum, trying to pin all the blame on Lin Yuqing. But the damage was done. Heartbroken and disillusioned, Lin Yuqing broke up with Chen Shuo and returned to her family. Yet fate had more encounters in store. Whether at the hospital or her grand homecoming banquet, Lin Yuqing kept running into Chen Shuo and his family. Desperate to climb the social ladder, Chen Shuo had no idea the true heiress he had scorned was right in front of him. When Lin Yuqing’s real identity was finally revealed, Chen Shuo realized his mistake—but it was far too late. No amount of begging or apologies could ever make Lin Yuqing take him back.
