Travel to Modern World to Be a Superstar, With One Hundred Thousand Troops at My Command

About this drama

Xiao Qianyang, a chiliarch of the Black Forest Mountain in the Great Yan Dynasty, witnesses a mutiny among his troops. Corrupt superiors embezzle military pay, leaving his men starving and freezing. Amid the chaos, he gains the power of two‑way time‑travel and tumbles into modern‑day Hengdian Film Studio. Clad in tattered armor and possessing formidable combat skills, he catches the eye of top agent Lin Qingyan, who hires him as a stunt double. Still deeply worried about his starving ancient soldiers, Xiao Qianyang seizes the chance to earn a living in showbiz. Blessed with the imposing aura of a warrior and genuine battle‑hardened fighting prowess, he stands out brilliantly on set. He endures repeated harassment from popular idol Zhang Lingyun, as well as malicious smear campaigns funded by capital. Rejecting flashy marketing gimmicks, he relies on hard‑hitting action sequences and solid acting skills. He rises from a low‑rank stunt double to land the lead role in a major motion picture, becoming a highly sought‑after A‑list tough‑guy actor. Xiao Qianyang pours his huge movie earnings into purchasing rice, flour, emergency medicine, steel knife blanks, surveillance and communication gear. He transports these supplies back to the ancient border via his time‑travel ability. The steady stream of modern provisions quells the soldiers’ mutiny. Drawing on modern military training doctrines, he transforms the formerly ragtag, undisciplined border garrison into a well‑drilled elite force. Corruption pervades the imperial court. General Wu colludes with the unscrupulous merchant Qiao Fuhai, exploiting common folk, siphoning off military supplies, and secretly conspiring with barbarian tribes to betray the borderlands. Undaunted by powerful foes, Xiao Qianyang publicly tries and executes the evil merchant. He leads his troops to fend off invaders, leveraging modern‑style gear to crush the barbarian army and slay their Left Wise King.
