Wrong Marriage, True Love‑The Bride Is My Beloved (Season 2)

About this drama

Six years ago, Du Shuyun, a wealthy matriarch, disapproved of her daughter‑in‑law Jian Qing. She teamed up with Gu Xuewei, a woman who bore a striking resemblance to Jian Qing, to stage a trap. They arranged an intimate scene between Gu Xuewei and Yu Moting for Jian Qing to witness with her own eyes. Du Shuyun forced Jian Qing into divorce with a one‑billion‑yuan compensation deal. Heartbroken, Jian Qing signed the papers and fled overseas. Shortly after arriving abroad, Jian Qing discovered she was pregnant. She had intended to tell Yu Moting the news, yet she received his engagement invitation to Gu Xuewei together with the signed divorce documents. All hope died inside her. She gave birth to her daughter Jian You alone and built Sunny, a top‑tier international design firm from scratch. Within six years, the company grew powerful enough to rival Yu’s Taihe Oriental. Six years later, Jian Qing returns home for her daughter’s education. She crosses paths with Yu Moting at an investment gala. Yu Moting has never gotten over Jian Qing and has remained single all these years. However, constant meddling from Gu Xuewei and his mother stirs up new misunderstandings between them. He runs into Jian You in a lounge and feels an inexplicable bond with the little girl. Upon learning she is Jian Qing’s daughter, consumed by jealousy, he impulsively kisses her, only to get slapped across the face. Later, Yu Moting chances upon Jian You’s medical report. The blood type and age match perfectly. He secretly collects hair samples for a paternity test and confirms Jian You is his biological daughter. Gu Xuewei and Du Shuyun see Jian Qing and her daughter as thorns in their side and launch wave after wave of attacks: public humiliation at her doorstep, paint vandalism on her company storefront, drugging schemes targeting Yu Moting, pregnancy rumors to ruin her reputation at the grand opening ceremony, and even hiring thugs to kidnap Jian Qing for a huge ransom. Du Shuyun also bribes employees behind the scenes to steal Jian Qing’s business secrets and sends strangers to snatch Jian You from kindergarten.
