A Fortunate Misunderstanding: The Security Guard’s Rise

Acerca de este microdrama

Gu Jingyan, 25, works as a security guard at the Han Group. His best friend Xie Linyuan, the young master de the Shen family, dreads an arranged‑family blind date and begs Gu Jingyan to take his place to ruin the meeting. Reluctantly, Gu Jingyan agrees, only to be shocked upon arrival: his date is none other than Han Yuqing, the 30‑year‑old newly‑appointed female CEO of the group. Hoping to repel her, Gu Jingyan acts flashy, splashes cash recklessly, and even suggests heading to a hotel. Instead of driving her away, his outrageous behavior sparks Han Yuqing’s curiosity. Terrified his real identity will be exposed and cost him his job, Gu Jingyan shows up for work wearing a face mask and fakes a high‑pitched voice. Han Yuqing finds his photo‑less security‑guard ID and grows suspicious. She repeatedly pressures him to remove his mask, yet Gu Jingyan narrowly evades exposure every time. Han Yuqing soon uncovers the truth about the impersonation. Meanwhile, her grandfather Han Aotian threatens to strip her of her CEO position unless she marries. Seizing the chance, Han Yuqing hires Gu Jingyan to pose as her boyfriend to fool her elders, offering him 100,000 monthly pay with heavy compensation for breach of contract. Cornered, Gu Jingyan accepts. They start their fake‑romance charade to deal with Han Aotian. As they spend time together, barriers fade and genuine feelings bloom. Lu Ling, a co‑worker with a long‑time soft spot for Gu Jingyan, keeps inserting herself into his life. Growing jealous witnessing his closeness with Han Yuqing, Lu Ling’s narrow‑minded boyfriend Lin Ye repeatedly plots revenge against the pair.
