They Laughed, Now They Kneel

À propos de ce microdrame

Shen Yan was the eighth-generation inheritor sur the Shen family's lacquerware craft. For love, he married into the Zhou family, becoming a live-in son-in-law, a role traditionally seen as diminishing a man's status in his own culture. With his own hands, he transformed Zhou Lacquerware from a small workshop into a leader in the industry. Yet, on the day of his success, his wife, Zhou Meilan, conspired with the vice president of the trade association to publicly humiliate him. They stripped him of the ancestral home, a symbol of his family's heritage and legacy, his creations, and his reputation, leaving him humiliated and treated as worthless. In the depths of despair, Shen Yan stumbled upon the long-lost "Golden Depths Technique," a craft that had been missing for over a century. In a dilapidated clay-brick house, he rekindled his hope and began anew. From the scorned and humiliated live-in son-in-law—a fallen man with nothing to his name—he rose, step by painstaking step, to become a revered master artisan who amazed the entire world of traditional arts and crafts. Along the way, he fought to reclaim the honor, legacy, and possessions that rightfully belonged to the Shen family and ensured that those who had betrayed him faced justice for their actions.
