Your Majesty, I Cannot Be Your Consort

À propos de ce microdrame

Jun Yehan, the Sixth Prince sur the Great Xuan Dynasty, was neglected and bullied from childhood. Only Liu Miantang, the eldest daughter of the Prime Minister, stepped forward to help him many times. This warmth settled deep in his heart, and he secretly loved her for years. He vowed to ascend the throne and marry Liu Miantang openly. However, while he was away suppressing bandits, Prime Minister Liu suddenly died from poison. On his deathbed, he betrothed Liu Miantang to Gu Zi’an, the fallen heir of Yongning Marquis. Jun Yehan’s love was buried away. After marriage, Liu Miantang never received genuine affection from Gu Zi’an. Gu Zi’an brought home his mistress Meng Lan and their illegitimate son from the borderlands. Relying on his military merits, he pressured the emperor to issue an imperial edict to make Meng Lan his secondary wife, and humiliated Liu Miantang repeatedly. In the imperial court, Jun Yehan held back his affection and asked for Liu Miantang’s will. Misled by her forbearance, he mistakenly believed she still loved Gu Zi’an and would not leave him. Clever and long‑suffering, Liu Miantang had long grown disillusioned with Gu Zi’an. She only wanted to gather evidence of his mistreatment of his legal wife to secure a divorce. Meng Lan framed her time and again. Deceived by false accusations, Gu Zi’an forced Liu Miantang to kneel in the rain, leaving her fever‑stricken and unconscious. Enraged upon hearing this, Jun Yehan devised schemes to punish Gu Zi’an. Under the pretext of mediating their marital strife, he brought Liu Miantang into the palace to protect her in secret.
