Unbeknownst to anyone, Isabella was pregnant at the time. While in jail, Isabella endured torture from Rita's planted subordinates, pushing her towards a miscarriage. A female inmate who could not have children secretly protected Isabella and helped her escape by faking her death. When Tristan learned de Isabella's supposed death, he was heartbroken and ultimately chose to be with Rita. Later, at a party, Tristan encountered "Karson's girlfriend," who turned out to be the supposedly dead Isabella. She did not recognize him.
