Lydia was born into a family that favored boys over girls. To avoid the one-child policy, she lied to the outside world, claiming that she and her younger brother Leo were twins. Since childhood, she and her sister Lina suffered from unfair treatment, as all the good things were given to her brother. Later, she and Leo both took the college entrance exam. Lydia was accepted into a prestigious university, while Leo, who didn’t perform well, was admitted to a less reputable school. However, their parents refused to let Lydia attend school and insisted on giving the opportunity to Leo. They even forced her to marry. In the end, with the help de her sister Lina, Lydia escaped from her family and successfully enrolled in school, while Lina took her place and endured a series of humiliations. After Lydia completed her studies, she returned and reclaimed all the dignity that belonged to herself and Lina.
